F1 heads to the Marina Bay Circuit this weekend for the Singapore Grand Prix, the 18th round of the 2024 season.

It is one of the most difficult races on the calendar, not only because of the challenging circuit but also due to the gruelling heat and humidity.

The Singapore GP is a mental and physical battle for all in the F1 paddock, with this weekend set to be no different.

Singapore is tropically warm throughout the year, with very high humidity and temperatures usually between 30 and 34 degrees Celsius.

At night, the temperature barely drops below 25 degrees Celsius. The sun is incredibly bright, reaching very high UV index values in the middle of the day.

However, rain and thunderstorms are also very common in Singapore, due to the humidity. Bizarrely, it often rains during the day rather than in the evening.

Thunderstorms are possible for first and third practice on Friday and Saturday afternoon, whilst second practice, qualifying and the race are expected to be completely dry.

33 degrees Celsius is forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, although race day has the smallest chance of rain.

During the race which does, of course, take place at night, the air temperature is forecast to be 29 degrees Celsius but feel more like 35, due to the intense humidity.
