F1 boss reacts to Mazepin video

Stefano Domenicali offers his take on the now infamous Mazepin video saying that F1 drivers are the face of the sport.

Stefano Domenicali deems Mazepin's behaviour as unacceptable and states that the drivers represent the face of the sport. Nikita Mazepin has raised a fair few eyebrows since he was announced as a Haas driver for 2021. The Russian driver who is regarded by many as a pay driver and has been known to test the limits of driving standards, landed himself in hot water after posting a video of himself groping a woman on social media. Stefano Domenicali condemned the Russian's behaviour. "That was of course unacceptable," Domenicali said to RacingNews365.com among others. "I would like to make it clear to the drivers that they are more than just drivers. "They are the face of our sport. They bear a great responsibility as a result. I don't want to miss the opportunity to point this out to the drivers. They need to realize that in their words and their behavior they have an exemplary role. "If we work well together in this, we can also use our podium to address issues that are important in our society."
