DS Penske has completed the signing of young star Taylor Barnard, following McLaren's exit from Formula E.
McLaren opted to exit the all-electric championship following the conclusion of last season, opening the door for the French-American squad to sign Barnard.
Barnard stunned the Formula E paddock during his maiden campaign, securing fourth in the drivers' title.
The 21-year-old Briton claimed the accolade of the championship's most successful rookie, securing everything but a win in his first full season.
"I’m buzzing to be joining DS PENSKE for season 12," said Barnard. "The team has a fantastic history in Formula E, and I an excited to work alongside Max to push for strong results.
"Formula E is such a unique challenge, and I feel ready to keep building on what I have achieved so far and fight at the front of the grid."
For the upcoming season, Barnard will partner Maximilian Günther, in what is a partnership boasting significant speed.
Günther had a solid Season 11 which saw the German clinch victories in Jeddah and Shanghai, and favoured over Jean-Eric Vergne who is expected to be announced as a Citroen driver.
"Together with Maximilian — a proven multiple race winner who delivered spectacular victories in Jeddah and Shanghai last season — we believe we have assembled one of the strongest and most balanced driver line-ups on the grid," said Jay Penske, DS Penske team principal.
"With this blend of youthful promise and race-winning experience, our ambitions for Season 12 are clear: we are here to fight at the very front and challenge for success."
