Latest weather update for Monaco Grand Prix

As the drivers gear up for this afternoon's Formula 1 race at Monaco, the clouds hovering around the circuit throughout the race will be an added concern for them as well as their respective teams.

We're a few hours away from the fifth race of the 2021 Formula 1 season, with Monte Carlo playing host to the Monaco Grand Prix. While the weather reports indicate a cloudy afternoon the chances of rain remain almost negligible. As opposed to the running on Thursday, which was sunny, Saturday's practice and qualifying sessions were run in much cooler conditions with ominous-looking clouds hanging over the racetrack. Expect the same on Sunday with weather reports indicating that the race will be run in overcast conditions though rain is not expected to hit the circuit during the event. Temperatures for the race at set to hover between 21 and 20 degrees celsius meaning the drivers will have to be mindful on their out laps post their pitstops with the Pirelli tyres taking longer to build their temperatures. The wind is not expected to play a factor with speeds expected to stay a consistent 13 km/h and the closed-off nature of the circuit minimizing the effect of wind gusts.
