Nyck de Vries will not take part in Saudi Arabian Grand Prix third practice as AlphaTauri have detected problems with his Formula 1 power unit. The Dutchman will be forced to miss the final 60 minutes of running before qualifying as late checks by the team found the issue, which has necessitated the changing of his RBPT-badged power unit. De Vries is the only rookie on the grid not to have previously raced at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, with both Oscar Piastri and Logan Sargeant having done so in Formula 2. In Friday's two practice sessions, the 2019 F2 champion finished 13th and 17th, respectively.
