Nyck de Vries is set to return to the race-track a month after he lost his AlphaTauri Formula 1 seat. After an underwhelming 10 races alongside Yuki Tsunoda, de Vries was let go from AlphaTauri after the British Grand Prix, being replaced by Daniel Ricciardo. He was not able to return to his previous role at Mercedes as reserve driver owing to Mick Schumacher now filling that position, with the Dutchman's future racing plans unclear. However, he is set to return to the cockpit during JACK's Racing Day at the Assen circuit in his native Netherlands. De Vries is due to perform some demonstration laps in an MP Motorsport Formula 2 machine on August 12th and 13th. "JACK'S Racing Day is one of the most diverse and accessible racing events in Europe. It is wonderful to see that our sport is so alive in the Netherlands," de Vries said looking forward to his appearance at the home circuit of MotoGP in the country.
