Daniel Ricciardo has dropped a cryptic hint that he could be set to return to motorsport, following a major announcement by Ford.
On Thursday, Ford announced that its Ford Performance motorsport division has been renamed Ford Racing, with Ricciardo appearing to get in on the action.
Taking to social media, Ricciardo posted two photos with the caption: “More around the corner…”
Both pictures featured a Ford Raptor. The first showed the vehicle’s grille with a Ford Racing sign, while the second featured the former F1 driver standing beside the off-road vehicle.
Ricciardo has yet to return to motorsport since departing F1 after last season’s Singapore Grand Prix and has been busy with other business ventures.
However, his recent post is the clearest sign yet of a potential return, with the presence of the Ford Raptor sparking speculation on social media that it could hint at a motorsport comeback.
Only time will tell!
