Circuit of the Americas hit by a deep freeze

Austin, Texas has been hit a historic chill as the city continues to deal with a winter storm, making for spectacular images at the Circuit of the Americas where Formula 1 cars usually run near the end of the calendar.

While Formula 1 cars and snow aren't immune to one another, it is rare to see wintery weather hit the state of Texas. The region has seen some of its coldest temperatures ever recorded, with snow, high winds, and icy conditions knocking power out for much of the area. As a result the Circuit of the Americas, which plays host to Formula 1's United States Grand Prix, has also been covered in a fresh layer of wintery weather. Have a look at some of the spectacular snowy images from the Circuit of the Americas.
