McLaren alter logo ahead of 2021 Formula 1 season

The Woking-based McLaren team have updated their logo for the coming 2021 Formula 1 season. With Daniel Ricciardo joining the team and a reunion with Mercedes, changes abound at the McLaren Technology Center as the team look to improve on last season's third place finish.

Having raced with the "mono black speed mark " for four consecutive seasons, McLaren have a new logo for the 2021 F1 season. The team now incorporates a splash of their papaya orange, a colour which has come to signify their renaissance, in their speed mark. The British team posted the following message with regards to the latest development. "Our racing soul shines even brighter in the latest evolution; the speedmark has turned papaya to distinguish us as McLaren Racing and a slimmer, modernised font style expresses our agility and speed as racers. While continuity is maintained with the familiar McLaren logo, the refreshed identity future-proofs our brand and optimises it for the digital environment." No doubt McLaren will be hoping the changes taking place off the track positively impact the team's results on it The logo can be viewed below.
