Charles Leclerc will be investigated after the Miami Sprint, following his crash ahead of the 100 km race at the Miami International Autodrome.
A sudden heavy downpour caused Leclerc to aquaplane, sending the Ferrari driver helplessly into the wall.
The impact resulted in significant damage to the right-rear side of his SF-25, which he continued to drive from Turn 10 where the incident happened for several seconds.
It scattered debris across the circuit, with one piece having hit a bridge running across the circuit. As a result, he has been placed under investigation for driving his car in an unsafe condition.
