Charles Leclerc crashes out before Sprint as heavy rain causes chaos

Charles Leclerc has crashed before the Miami Sprint has even started, due to shocking conditions.

Charles Leclerc will not start the Miami Sprint race after crashing on his way to the grid, as a result of a sudden horrific downpour.

The Ferrari driver was released onto the circuit on intermediate tyres but had no grip, causing him to aquaplane into the wall.

His SF-25 sustained significant damage to its right rear, with the FIA having quickly closed the end of the pit lane due to the monsoon-like conditions.

Leclerc was helpless as his car aquaplaned, leaving Ferrari with a race against the clock to have his car repaired for qualifying.
