Charles Leclerc will not start the Miami Sprint race after crashing on his way to the grid, as a result of a sudden horrific downpour. The Ferrari driver was released onto the circuit on intermediate tyres but had no grip, causing him to aquaplane into the wall. His SF-25 sustained significant damage to its right rear, with the FIA having quickly closed the end of the pit lane due to the monsoon-like conditions. Leclerc was helpless as his car aquaplaned, leaving Ferrari with a race against the clock to have his car repaired for qualifying.
