Nick Cassidy is "glad" that he is feeling some nerves ahead of this weekend's Formula E season finale, as it proves that he cares about the nail-biting title fight.
The Jaguar driver heads into the London E-Prix with a 12-point lead in the drivers' championship, making him the favourite for the world title.
He has recent experience of battling for an FE title, as he missed out on the crown to Jake Dennis in London 12 months ago.
This works in his favour, as he understands how to deal with the pressure of a season finale title scrap.
Despite this, he does still feel some nerves about the weekend, although he is pleased that this is the case.
"A bit of both, I've been in this position enough that it's normal, but I still realise it's special," Cassidy told RacingNews365, when asked if he is calm or nervous.
"A little bit nervous, but I'm glad I am. This means I care about it. So yeah, under these moments, I feel like in my career, I've had my best performances. And I'm hoping that's the same this weekend."

Remarkably, seven drivers enter the season finale still mathematically in contention of winning the title; however, Cassidy is in the driving seat.
He does not necessarily need two big results, whilst others behind him will need to be pushing for the top places.
Cassidy sees this as something that will work in his favour, as he does not have the pressure of needing to win both races.
"To be honest, in those conditions, I see it as an advantage to myself because they can't afford to not score and I can," noted Cassidy.
"And I don't mean that in a negative way. I just mean, from a mindset point of view, I know that every rival of mine has to finish."
For Cassidy, winning the world championship will mark the climax of his staggering rise in Formula E. Since making his debut in 2021, the New Zealander has made huge gains every season.
He will make history if he wins the title, as no New Zealander has won a single-seater world championship since Denny Hulme in 1967. Winning the title, has been thought about ahead of this weekend by the Jaguar driver.
"I'd be lying to say I haven't, but at the same time I tell myself not to because, the job's not done," Cassidy added.
"So just staying really focused on getting the job done this weekend. Hopefully Monday, we can talk about it."
