Oscar Piastri faces a huge task should he want to end 2025 as McLaren's top driver, having finished 82 points behind Lando Norris last year.
The Australian driver showed excellent pace at times, but was not able to string together big results as consistently as Norris.
This played a huge part in the two drivers being separated by 82 points, with Norris having battled Max Verstappen for the drivers' title.
Norris ended 2024 in second, whilst Piastri had to settle for fourth. Of course, McLaren did seal a first constructors' title since 1998; however, both drivers will now be targeting a drivers' crown.
The Woking-based team are expected to be very strong this year, putting immediate pressure on both drivers to deliver from the opening round in Australia.
But which will come out on top in McLaren's intra-team battle?
