Liam Lawson will race the best F1 car of his career this season at Red Bull, but can the full-time rookie claim a maiden victory this year? The last time a driver from New Zealand claimed an F1 win was back in 1974, when Denny Hulme won the Argentinian Grand Prix. Across his 11 appearances for the Austrian outfit's sister team the last two seasons, Lawson finds himself alongside Max Verstappen at Red Bull. He impressed team principal Christian Horner and advisor Helmut Marko, warranting a promotion to the main team rather than Yuki Tsunoda. Lawson has waited patiently for his opportunity to race for the Milton Keynes-based team but will be under extraordinary pressure to not succumb to his four-time world champion team-mate. Whilst Red Bull are not expected to have the most competitive package on the 2025 grid, it will be the best car Lawson has raced in the pinnacle of motorsport. With that comes the chance to fight for race victories, something Verstappen will almost certainly be doing from the season-opener in Australia. But can Lawson get amongst the race victories this year? Have your say by voting in the poll below!
