Former Suzuki team boss Davide Brivio has officially been announced as Alpine's new racing director. It is the latest change management change at the team this winter after the departure of Cyril Abiteboul.
The Alpine Formula 1 team have appointed Davide Brivio as the team's race director. The Italian will report to chief executive Laurent Rossi and his specific role will be announced soon. Brivio joins the team having had double success in MotoGP last year with Suzuki taking the teams' title and Joan Mir becoming champion. Whether Brivio will succeed former Renault team principal Cyril Abiteboul remains to be seen after the Frenchman left the team in early January.
