BREAKING: McLaren learn stewards verdict into Norris right of review

McLaren decided to launch a right of review into Lando Norris's five-second time penalty from the United States Grand Prix.

McLaren's right of review into Lando Norris' time penalty from the United States Grand Prix has been rejected. Ahead of the Mexico City Grand Prix, McLaren decided to take action against Norris' five-second time penalty for overtaking Max Verstappen off the track at Turn 12 at the Circuit of the Americas in the closing stages. The sanction dropped Norris off the podium and cost him a further three points in the title race to Verstappen, with McLaren subsequently exercising its right to a review as laid out in Article 14 of the FIA's International Sporting Code. McLaren presented its case to the original panel of stewards from Austin. Under the criteria, their evidence had to be deemed as 'significant, relevant, new, and not available to the team at the time of the decision'.  After examining the evidence, the stewards determined it did not meet the required threshold. As such, the right of review has been thrown out.
