Brad Pitt has revealed the top speed he achieved during his McLaren F1 test in Austin, as well as advice given to him by Lando Norris.
As RacingNews365 exclusively revealed last week, Pitt got to grips with the 2023 McLaren MCL60 at the United States Grand Prix venue ahead of the global release of F1: The Movie.
Pitt's character, Sonny Hayes, is a retired driver tempted back to F1 to help the struggling APX Racing team alongside Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris with Lewis Hamilton serving as a producer and technical advisor.
McLaren's F2 protégé Alex Dunne was also present during the test, as well as Norris, who shook the car down, with Pitt sharing some candid advice given to him by Norris.
"He didn’t have a lot of faith in me," Pitt said of Norris, when speaking to BBC Radio 1.
"Fair enough, like, the time I put up still wasn’t even close to his. No."
When asked if he was given any advice by Norris, Pitt replied that the Briton had said: 'Don't cock it up."
When also pushed about the top speed he had achieved during his running, Pitt confirmed that he had fallen just short of 200mph, reaching a top speed of 197mph.
"I did not sleep for 36 hours afterwards. I was on such a high," he added.
