Bologna to honor Senna

The city of Bologna will name a roundabout after Ayrton Senna the former three-time Formula 1 champion.

The Council of Bologna led by Mayor Virginio Merola has decided to name a roundabout after the late great Brazilian world champion Ayrton Senna. The report comes from Gazzetta Motori who said the Brazilian's legacy will be further immortalised when the city rechristens one of their roundabouts, Rotonda Ayrton Senna. The Rotonda Ayrton Senna will be located between via Bovi Campeggi and the underpass Ernesto Maserati, who was also a racing driver, under the railway area in the Porto-Saragozza district. Senna was one of the most enigmatic characters to grace the sport. The Brazilian won three world titles, in 1988, 1990, and 1991, all with Mclaren before suffering an untimely death at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
