Round 14 of the 2024 F1 world championship takes place around the Spa-Francrochamps track, a favourite of fans and drivers alike. Unpredictable weather has been a common theme at the circuit throughout its history, and with a length of 7.004km, it is often the case that different parts of the track have different conditions. But what weather is forecast for the race this weekend at the Belgian Grand Prix?
According to our friends at Weeronline.nl , Friday practice could be impacted by wet weather. Showers from the west will move over the circuit with regular precipitation expected. Temperatures could rise to 20°C when it is not raining, and sit a few degrees lower when the rain is present. Moving into qualifying day, Saturday may also see long-lasting rainfall, although the exact period of how long it will fall for is uncertain. Sunshine will not be present for much of the day, with a maximum of 18°C expected and very little wind. Conditions will change somewhat when for the final day of the race weekend, with Sunday hosting the main event. The Belgian Grand Prix is forecast to be held in drier conditions following the persistent rain throughout the remainder of the weekend. While local showers are still a possibility, the chance of a saturated race track during the race is small with temperatures of 20 or 21°C expected.
