Lando Norris and McLaren set the pace as Formula 1's first pre-season test of 2022 began in Barcelona on Wednesday.
McLaren driver Lando Norris topped the timesheets on the opening day of Formula 1 testing action at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Ferrari had set the pace for the majority of the day, with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz forming a 1-2, only for Norris to usurp the pair late on. Mercedes teammates George Russell and Lewis Hamilton rounded out the top five positions. The full times and tyre compounds are listed below.
