First run in 2004, the Bahrain International Circuit has played host to every addition of the Bahrain Grand Prix in Formula 1. The 5.412km track is no stranger to overtaking, with the wind and ever changing temperatures challenging drivers as they look for the perfect setup. The event has been held at night since 2014.

The first running in 2004 saw Ferrari dominate with Michael Schumacher getting the best of Rubens Barrichello. While the Scuderia have regularly impressed at the circuit, Mercedes have excelled in recent seasons winning five of the last seven races. Lewis Hamilton won from pole position last season ahead of Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon, however the race will be remembered for Romain Grosjean’s stunning accident that saw his car split in two and catch fire.
