The organisers of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, have been summoned to the race stewards.
With the steward summons normally used to call drivers and team representatives to review incidents, the stewards have elected to summon the organisers of the Melbourne event to review an incident at the end of the race.
The organisers have been summoned for a "spectator track invasion prior to the conclusion of the 2023 Australian Grand Prix".
A summons for a grand prix organiser is unprecedented, and it is not yet clear if a punishment will be handed out for the incident, or what punishment could be handed to them.
In their verdict, the stewards raised "serious concerns" over the invasion - with the matter set to be taken to the World Motor Sport Council for further investigation.
