Aston Martin has confirmed reserve driver Felipe Drugovich will get another FP1 outing this season, replacing Lance Stroll for the opening hour of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Following that weekend, the Brazilian will also drive in the end-of-season test, partnering Jak Crawford for the final day at the Yas Marina Circuit.
The 2022 F2 champion has already completed extensive running for the Silverstone-based team, with the latest outings adding to the 8,200km Drugovich already has under his belt for the team.
It will be the third year in a row he has taken the cockpit of an Aston Martin for the final FP1 session at the season finale.
Most recently, he replaced Fernando Alonso for the first practice session at the Mexico City Grand Prix, on the Spaniard's 400th grand prix weekend.
In September, the 24-year-old completed the Pirelli tyre testing programme at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
"I’m really excited to drive the AMR24 again, and this time at Yas Marina — a circuit that I know well from completing many testing laps there," Drugovich said.
It will be great to see how the car feels in a completely different environment compared to Mexico, and I'm looking forward to building on what I learned during my first FP1 session earlier this year. It will be great to get a feel for the 2025 Pirelli tyres that the Formula One cars will be running next year, too.
"Driving the AMR24 is always a fantastic opportunity, and I'm grateful to Aston Martin for trusting me with this second session as well as the end-of-season test."
