Aston Martin will once again split Formula 1 pre-season testing duties between Fernando Alonso and Felipe Drugovich on the final day of running in Bahrain. Regular driver Lance Stroll was ruled out of testing after sustaining injuries in a cycling training accident, with reserve driver and reigning Formula 2 champion Drugovich drafted in on the opening morning of testing. He split running with Alonso, with the two-time champion enjoying a full day in the car on Friday, but will hand over to the Brazilian once again on Saturday. Drugovich is set to be behind the wheel of the AMR23 in the morning, before handing over to Alonso for the final session of testing before next weekend's season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix. Stroll has sustained hand and wrist injuries in the accident, with the team set to confirm whether or not he will race next weekend at a later date.
