AlphaTauri present 2022 F1 car to the world

AlphaTauri's new F1 car has been shown off during an online presentation, as launch season reaches its halfway mark.

AlphaTauri have released digital images of their 2022 car, the AT03, prior to the new F1 season getting underway. Red Bull's sister team showcased their latest Honda-powered design - built for the sport's overhauled technical regulations - during an online presentation on Monday. The car features a similar dark blue and white livery to the one used in 2021, albeit with some sections inverted. Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda played a key role in the reveal, appearing on stage with several models (AlphaTauri being Red Bull's fashion brand) before swapping their stylish clothes for racing overalls.

Stability at AlphaTauri for 2022

AlphaTauri finished sixth out of 10 teams in last year's championship standings, as Gasly led the Italian outfit's charge alongside rookie Tsunoda. Gasly and Tsunoda will remain as teammates in 2022, after the Japanese newcomer did enough to convince Red Bull chiefs over the second half of the year, while veteran team boss Franz Tost continues to oversee the operation.
