AlphaTauri changed car so Tsunoda could reach the pedals

The Japanese driver confirmed changes have been made to the cockpit of the AT02 to ensure he could reach the pedals.

Yuki Tsunoda has revealed AlphaTauri have built a "special pedal case" to guarantee he can operate the pedals without any issues. Tsunoda is one of the shortest Formula 1 drivers the sport has ever seen at just 1.58m. He explained the pedal situation during this weekend's Emilia Romagna GP in Imola. "Definitely I gave them [AlphaTauri] fresh ideas I think for the cockpit – [the] pedals," Tsunoda told RacingNews365.com and other select members of the press. "They made a special pedal case for me. I struggle to reach the pedals with a normal pedal [case]. So, for the pedals and cockpit thing I think I gave them really fresh ideas. “But hopefully in the future as well I try to be like an experienced driver, I just give them really natural feeling from the car to the engineers and hopefully that all works well for the car. "At the moment, the team is happy with my feedback. I think [Pierre Gasly and I] give similar feedback after the sessions which is always really good for the team."
