Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso has been summoned to the FIA race stewards for allegedly driving in a dangerous manner during the Belgian Grand Prix Sprint. The two-time F1 champion was locked in a battle with Haas' Nico Hulkenberg in the opening laps of the delayed Sprint, having failed to make places during a pit-stop scramble. Alonso eventually fell behind the German and, when chasing Hulkenberg through the middle sector he lost control of his AMR23 and span into the gravel at Pouhon to trigger a Safety Car. If found guilty, the Spaniard would likely be punished for Sunday's Grand Prix given he failed to finish the shortened 11-lap Sprint.
