Alonso returns to training after bike accident

The former Formula 1 world champion was involved in a collision with a car while out cycling in Switzerland ahead of the new season.

Alpine F1 driver Fernando Alonso is back to training after he was injured during a road accident while preparing for the new season in Switzerland last week. The former world champion, who won two titles with Renault in the early 2000s, fractured his jaw and was forced to undergo surgery to repair broken teeth. He left hospital on February 15 after 48 hours under observation. The driver took to Twitter to thank his fans for their support and showed himself getting back into the swing of things with some training. See the full tweet below:
