Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon face a trip to the stewards after their coming together in the Brazil Sprint race. The Alpine drivers came to blows in an aggressive opening lap in the Brazil Sprint, with both drivers fighting for the points-paying positions. At Turn 4 of the first lap, Ocon forced Alonso wide when trying to hold on to P6. With the pair still racing for the rest of the lap, Alonso attempted an overtake on the main straight, with the pair colliding at high speed. Alonso suffered front wing damage and had to pit for repairs, whilst Ocon also sustained floor damage, which reduced his pace and ended any chance of points. After the race, the stewards called both drivers to explain their collision, with a decision yet to be made.
