In the build-up to the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton has been linked with a move away from Mercedes, amid reported Ferrari interest. Speaking prior to the Monaco GP weekend, Hamilton gave little away, and Ferrari team members were quick to play down the links to the Maranello team. With several drivers asked for their opinion on the latest driver transfer rumours, Fernando Alonso provided a typically tongue-in-cheek response when asked if he had any advice for Hamilton. "I have no idea. But he always said that 'he wins and he loses together with the team'. So if he's not winning, he should stay," smiled Alonso. It's not the first time Alonso has provided an interesting response to his former teammate. The Aston Martin driver had previously said in an semi-exclusive interview with RacingNews365.com that, despite Hamilton's talent, there was a degree of "luck" in his championship successes . Prior to that, he accused Hamilton of having a "short memory" at the Saudi Arabian GP following the Mercedes' driver's comments about the pace of the 2023 Red Bull.
