Alfa Romeo has stated that it would like to have a "win-win" situation from the Formula 1 driver silly season market. While Valtteri Bottas is currently under contract until 2025, Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu's contract runs out at the end of the season. Zhou has scored points at two races so far in 2023, but Alfa Romeo is looking for more as they try to disrupt the battle for seventh in the Constructors' Championship between Haas and Williams. A possible replacement for him could be Sauber Academy Driver Theo Pourchaire who currently leads the Formula 2 championship.
Alfa Romeo want continuity
When asked about their preferences going forward, Team Representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi told media, including RacingNews365 : "We always said that stability for us is important. "We are a team that is in a transformation process, and we try to be as much stable as possible in all areas. "Of course, we are looking for improvement and opportunities. There will be time after the summer shutdown to sit down with Zhou and look at what will be the best solution for both of us. "Our target is to keep both drivers in our team next year but, of course, there must be all the elements in place to have a win-win situation."
