George Russell ordered the most expensive entree available when he went out for dinner with Alex Albon following the Monaco Grand Prix.

The Williams driver explained the three-time grand prix winner opted for lobster pasta at the restaurant they visited, which Albon subsequently paid for.

After the race at the Circuit de Monaco, where the Thai racer held up the Mercedes driver - to the extent he cut the Nouvelle Chicane and was awarded a drive-through penalty from the stewards - Russell stated he would make the Williiams man pay for their dinner date on Sunday evening.

When asked about it ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix, Albon shared the details with journalists, contending it was not all bad, as Russell forwent dessert.

"He ordered the most expensive thing on the menu," he told media, including RacingNews365, to a chorus of laughter. "He did, actually!

"The lobster pasta, but he skipped on dessert, so it kind of equaled out. But, it was good, it was good. It was a fun evening."

Williams secured a double points-paying result in Monte Carlo, with ninth and tenth, whilst the Briton was consigned to P11, something that made a "miserable" afternoon even worse for those who finished behind him and Carlos Sainz, according to Albon.

"I did pay, yeah," he clarified when it was queried if he did stump up for the bill, as Russell said he would. "I should pay, yeah.

"I mean, that was miserable that race, and I can't imagine... we had something to play in it, so at least it felt like we had something going, because obviously for the others, it was a bit worse."

When the extent to which drivers talk about F1 outside of the paddock was questioned, Albon said there was not a great deal of talk about racing, but that the subject does naturally come up from time to time.

"No, honestly, there's very little talk about racing," the 29-year-old stated.

"I think there's not much talk about racing outside of the race. So, yeah, no, not too much. I mean we do talk about it..."
