Alex Albon has given a cautious early verdict on Williams chances for 2023, after a shakedown of the FW45 for the first time at Silverstone. It was the second part of the teams launch which included the reveal of the team kit alongside a rollout of the car, as part of the 100km filming allowance. The Thai-British driver gave his initial reaction speaking to 2009 F1 World Champion and Williams Ambassador, Jenson Button, who noted that he was able to go "flat out" through the high speed Copse Corner. "I'm actually really happy, I feel like we've addressed some of the problems," said Albon. "It's always gonna be a little bit of a 'What if?' until you actually drive the real car. "I don't want to speak too soon because maybe we're not as good as we think we are, but we're going the right direction. "That's the main thing. We've got a good baseline and good platform now to go into Bahrain."
