Adrian Newey will attend the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend, his first with Aston Martin, RacingNews365 can confirm.

F1's annual visit to Monte Carlo will kick off the Briton's trackside tenure with the team, following his move to the Silverstone squad earlier this season.

After spending almost two decades at Red Bull, Newey opted for pastures new last year, leaving the Milton Keynes outfit having won six constructors' championships - and eight drivers' titles - together.

At base for Aston Martin, the 66-year-old has been focused on the team's 2026 car, with F1 ushering in a comprehensive regulations reset for both chassis and power units.

On track, the AMR25 has struggled this season but the team has maintained its new managing technical partner's attention has been fixed squarely on the future.

His first grand prix in person with the Aston Martin comes directly after its Imola-spec upgrade delivered a significant uptick in performance over one lap.

Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll qualified fifth and eighth for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, respectively, but fell back amid a strategically chaotic race.

The Spaniard came tantalisingly close to his first point of the campaign, finishing P11. Meanwhile, his team-mate has scored 14 points across the year, leaving Aston Martin seventh in the constructors' standings.
