Pascal Wehrlein topped the timesheets on the opening day of Formula E pre-testing, marking a perfect start for Porsche after winning the teams' and manufacturers' titles last season.
The German went quickest at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia after posting a 1m 21.714, almost three seconds quicker than what the original Gen3 achieved two years ago.
Mahindra enjoyed an excellent start after Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara went second and fourth, sandwiching Jake Dennis in third. Reigning world champion Oliver Rowland completed the top five.
It was a disappointing first day for new DS Penske signing Taylor Barnard, who came to a halt at Turn 12, triggering the session's only red flag. He ended the day in last.
