Formula E is back this weekend for the fourth and fifth rounds of its season: the Jeddah E-Prixs!
The all-electric series returns to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit for a second year in a row, where it will once again host the first double-header of the campaign.
As it is the first double-header of the season, this weekend will also feature the first Pit Boost race of Season 12, which will require the use of Attack Mode only once — the other race will follow the traditional two Attack Mode format.
While this season’s Jeddah E-Prixs mark the second visit to the area, it is Saudi Arabia’s eighth consecutive year hosting Formula E.
Due to Ramadan, the first race of the double-header — the fourth round of the season — will take place on Friday night under the lights, with the second race — the fifth round of the season — scheduled for Saturday night.
Citroën’s Nick Cassidy enters the event still as the championship leader despite failing to score a point just over a week ago in Miami. Cassidy holds a marginal two-point lead over Pascal Wehrlein, who finished third in Miami.
Reigning world champion Oliver Rowland sits fourth in the standings and six points adrift, but secured a second place and a victory across last year’s two races in Jeddah. Miami winner Mitch Evans is sixth in the standings.
