Edoardo Mortara secured Mahindra's first Formula E pole position since Berlin Season 10 after defeating Maximilian Günther in the final Jeddah duel.
The Swiss driver looked quick throughout qualifying, with Günther having to settle for second at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.
Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein secured third on the grid, ahead of Norman Nato. As for the other title contenders, Oliver Rowland, Jake Dennis and Nick Cassidy were all eliminated in the group stage.
Despite qualifying in 17th, Lucas di Grassi will start from last following a three-place grid penalty.
