Maximilian Günther secured pole position for the opening race of Formula E's Shanghai E-Prix double-header.
The DS Penske driver defeated McLaren sensation Taylor Barnard in the final, following a staggering 1m 08.234.
Reigning world champion Pascal Wehrlein will start from third, ahead of Jaguar's Nick Cassidy in fourth who enjoyed a strong qualifying.
Mitch Evans will start from last and serve a 10-second stop-and-go penalty, due to not being able to take his full 80-place grid penalty for several power unit component changes.
