Maximilian Günther secured pole position for the inaugural Jeddah E-Prix, held at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.
The DS Penske driver defeated reigning world champion Pascal Wehrlein in the final, courtesy of a 1:14.911.
Oliver Rowland claimed third on the grid ahead of teenage rookie Taylor Barnard, whilst championship leader Antonio Felix da Costa starts from 13th.
In an additional blow to missing pole, Wehrlein failed to match the record of three consecutive FE pole positions.
