F1 drivers could be faced with heavy rain storms during this weekend's Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola, according to current forecasts.
As of 10:00 UK time on Wednesday, 14th May, there is an increasing risk of thunderstorms developing over the Emilia Romagna region of Italy on Sunday morning after an initially dry start.
The race is set for a 15:00 local time start on Sunday, when current radar forecasts predict the wind blowing in from the West, roughly corresponding to a headwind along the pit-straight into Turn 1, which should aid overtaking.
Sunday is forecast to be around the 20-24 degree Celsius region.
Both Friday and Saturday, for practice and qualifying, are currently scheduled to be dry, with rain cells missing the track on both days as they form in the mountains nearby.
