Round three of the 2024 Formula 1 campaign sees the sport descend on Albert Park, which hosts the Australian Grand Prix.

The track has been part of the schedule since 1996 but skipped rounds in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the past, Melbourne has been a mostly dry affair for F1 events however there has been wet events in the past - remember in 2013 when qualifying was delayed amid a torrential downpour?

Such conditions are not expected to be repeated this time around. Our friends at Weeronline.nl have provided a weather report for the weekend ahead.

Dry conditions expected

Consistent temperatures are expected throughout the weekend, with Friday practice being held in sunny conditions featuring a high of 22 degrees Celsius.

Saturday, which will feature the final practice session and qualifying, is set to be a similarly dry affair with roughly the same maximum temperature.

The Australian Grand Prix on Sunday is not likely to be disrupted by wet weather as once again, dry conditions with a maximum temperature of 21 degrees Celcius are expected to greet attending fans.

Although the weather is not scorchingly hot, attending fans will need to ensure they wear sunscreen with a UV index of 7 causing burnt skin within 10-25 minutes.
