Red Bull confirm Perez as Verstappen's teammate until 2024

Sergio Perez has further cause to celebrate after his Monaco Grand Prix win, as Red Bull have signed him to continue with the team for 2023 and 2024.

Sergio Perez will remain a Red Bull driver for 2023 and beyond, with the Milton Keynes-based outfit confirming the Mexican has been retained alongside Max Verstappen on a new deal lasting until 2024. RacingNews365.com understands that the contract extension was agreed in Monaco, with talks having previously taken place during the Miami Grand Prix weekend. Perez first joined the squad for the 2021 season on a one-year deal, and was handed a further 12-month contract for the 2022 campaign. Now though he will continue with Red Bull beyond this year and into 2024.

Perez celebrates "incredible week"

Following on from his victory at the Monaco Grand Prix, Perez admits that news of his contract extension has been a "dream". "For me, this has been an incredible week, winning the Monaco Grand Prix is a dream for any driver and then to follow that with announcing I will continue with the team until 2024 just makes me extremely happy," he said. "I am so proud to be a member of this team and I feel completely at home here now. We are working very well together and my relationship with Max, on and off the track, is definitely helping drive us forward even more. "We have built tremendous momentum as a team and this season is showing that, I am excited to see where that can take us all in the future."
