Perez optimistic about Red Bull win in Monaco

Mexican Formula 1 ace Sergio Perez is upbeat regarding Red Bull's chances of winning the Monaco Grand Prix given the RB16's characteristics.

Sergio Perez is staying positive about Red Bull's prospects for the upcoming 2021 Monaco Grand Prix with the Mexican F1 driver believing his RB16B should suit the famous street circuit. With Mercedes winning three out of the first four races, Red Bull will be looking to pull one back during the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix. The street circuit is unlike any other race track on the calendar and it's low speed configuration might suit the RB16B at least according to Perez. "I’m looking forward massively to Monaco, especially with this car," Perez told RacingNews365.com and other select members of the press. "I think we have a shot at winning the race, so yeah hopefully we are able to be back strong." Perez also offered some insight into how he is tweaking his approach, saying the biggest challenge so far has been adapting his driving style to each individual circuit. "How to drive the car, really — how to get the maximum out of it, and how to adapt my driving style," Perez said. "That’s the thing I’m working on the most, and every circuit is different. It’s not like you learn something (in Spain) and it works in Monaco, that’s the main thing that I’m still adapting with my style." After a tough few Grand Prix Perez will be hoping his Monaco Grand Prix weekend is a flawless one. The Red Bull driver has shown flashes of brilliance but in his own words is struggling to put an entire weekend together.
